Benjamin Carswell created an extraordinarily successful, multi-state business on a simple promise; he meets or exceeds client expectations every time. When he founded his business 35 years ago, Benjamin crafted a strategy for American Coatings, Inc. that focuses on three principles: a high level of professional skill, integrity and transparency. Clients have come to expect this straightforward approach. In an industry that has new companies appearing weekly, Benjamin’s leadership and keen vision have inspired client loyalty and confidence.
Recognized as an industry leader, Benjamin has served on the PPG/Porter National Advisory Committee and Glidden Coatings National Advisory Committee. Carswell also lends his expertise to a variety of charitable, civic, and professional organizations including past service to the Investment Advisory Committee of Oak Hill, Tennessee municipality and as an Advisory Board member for Land Trust of Middle Tennessee. His previous work with Habitat For Humanity allows him to take decades of experience and assist those most in need. He has devoted countless hours for over 25 years to First Presbyterian Church Nashville where he sits as an active Elder.
Benjamin Carswell isn’t resting on his past success. He is actively involved in the day-to-day operation of American Coatings. Success now allows him to turn decades of experience toward building the next generation of painting professionals. He also provides expert testimony for litigation when called upon.
Benjamin is married to Patricia Morgan Carswell and they have one daughter, Mary Lindley Carswell.
